The following components:
200 milliliters of heated milkand/or water
Half a spoonful of sugar and one teaspoon of salt
Dry yeast, 10 grams
flour, 550 grams
Oil, 80 milliliters
Step one:
Step one: Combine the milk, water, sugar, and yeast in a basin. After 7 minutes, stir and set aside.
Mix in the oil and flour next. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size, then shape it into a uniform ball. Roll out each half and fry in a skillet with butter or oil after you split it.
Instructions:
- Mix the Dough:
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead for 1–2 minutes until smooth (add a little flour if sticky).
- Divide & Flatten:
- Divide into 2–3 equal pieces.
- Roll or press each piece into a thin round (about 1/8 inch thick).
- Cook:
- Heat a nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- Lightly grease with oil or butter.
- Cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side until golden spots appear and puffed slightly.
- Serve Warm:
- Brush with extra butter, sprinkle with herbs, garlic, or enjoy plain!
Tips:
- For softer bread: cover with a towel right after cooking to trap steam.
- Add flavor: mix herbs, garlic powder, or cheese into the dough.
