In a video captured by her daughter, Pelosi expresses her frustration, asking, ‘Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?
She acknowledges, ‘They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them prepared for more.’ Following the release of the footage, Pelosi appeared on MSNBC to denounce the clip as a product of Trump supporters’ ‘revisionist history,’ according to Patel. The behind-the-scenes video reveals Pelosi’s evident panic regarding the events and her concern about the implications for her. She states, ‘We have responsibility…we did not have any accountability for what was going on there, and we should have. This is ridiculous.
You’re going to ask me in the middle of the thing, but they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff. Should we call the Capitol Police? I mean, the National Guard? Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with? They thought that they had sufficient. There’s not a question of how they don’t know. They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them prepared for more.’ In a later attempt to clarify the situation.
Pelosi turned to MSNBC, where she sought to correct the narrative by invoking the familiar Trump argument. ‘The fact is that the President of the United States, the former president and his associates, do not want to confront the facts. They are attempting to rewrite history regarding January 6. However, we must not allow ourselves to be drawn into their false portrayal of what transpired that day.

He stated, ‘For many years, I have provided testimony under oath, in various media outlets, and in numerous other forums that both Pelosi and Bowser failed to request the National Guard on January 6, following President Trump’s constitutional authorization for its deployment.
The current FBI Director continued, ‘We presented compelling evidence — their own written denials — to the partisan January 6 Committee, which chose to omit this from the official record, despite their agreement to include the correspondence and timeline.’ ‘Pelosi’s actions extended beyond merely establishing the unlawful and unconstitutional January 6 committee; she also concealed evidence pertinent to a congressional inquiry, misled the public, and opted to spend January 6 filming a personal documentary,’ he remarked.
